HelpEducation South Sudan (HESS) is a nonprofit humanitarian, developmental, and non-partisan organization established to address the most urgent literacy needs of the people of South Sudan.
HESS implements interventions in literacy programmes, teacher training, inclusive education, education in emergencies, girl child education, women and youth empowerment, WASH in education, child protection, peace building, advocacy, leadership, governance, and TVET.
The organization is registered by relevant authorities including the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission and works with communities, government structures, schools, and partners to restore dignity through education.

HESS is led by committed South Sudanese humanitarian leadership focused on gender inclusion, education rights, dignity, and opportunities for vulnerable communities.
Contact HESSHESS has implemented programmes in Lakes State, Jonglei, Central Equatoria, Western Equatoria, Warrap, and Greater Upper Nile, with ongoing focus on counties such as Awerial, Yirol East, Cueibet, Tonj South, Bor South, Terekeka, and Juba.
