HelpEducation South Sudan (HESS) joined the International Rescue Committee (IRC) South Sudan for the launch of its FY26–FY28 Country Strategy at the Pyramid Intercontinental Hotel in Juba, under the theme “Partnering for Impact.”
HESS was represented at the event by its Program Manager, Mr. Nicholas Manza, who joined government officials, donors, implementing partners, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders in reflecting on shared achievements, reviewing IRC’s strategic priorities for the coming years, and exploring opportunities for stronger collaboration across South Sudan.
The IRC South Sudan FY26–FY28 Country Strategy aims to strengthen support for conflict and climate-affected communities through integrated programming in health, safety, economic wellbeing, and education. The strategy also places strong emphasis on expanding services to underserved areas, advancing locally led responses, and building long-term resilience and sustainable development.
For HESS, participation in the strategy launch provided an important opportunity to engage with partners, exchange experiences, identify areas of mutual interest, and strengthen coordination toward shared development and humanitarian goals.
As an organization committed to improving access to quality and inclusive education, HESS recognizes the importance of strategic partnerships that respond to the needs of vulnerable communities. Particular attention remains essential for women, girls, persons with disabilities, and communities affected by conflict, displacement, and climate-related challenges.
Through continued collaboration with government institutions, development partners, humanitarian organizations, communities, and other stakeholders, HESS remains committed to advancing initiatives that improve education access, strengthen community resilience, and contribute to better living conditions across South Sudan.
The launch further reinforced the importance of coordinated and locally driven approaches in delivering sustainable results for communities.
HESS remains committed to fostering strategic partnerships that drive sustainable development and create lasting community impact.
Locally led partnership keeps education relevant, accountable and close to the communities it serves.
